Susi-Kalle
The bronze skier statue Susi-Kalle is in the centre of Ruka’s pedestrian village. Kalevi Oikarainen (1936–2020) or Susi-Kalle (Wolf Kalle) was a cross-country skier and world champion from Kuusamo.

Pirunkirkko in Juhannuskallio
Juhannuskallio on the southern slope of Ruka and its famous cave can be admired from the road leading to Ruka. Entering the nature reserve is forbidden from April to August. The cave, which is only a few meters deep, is located on a dangerous cliff.
Pirunkirkko (Devil’s church) is a general name for caves that have been considered, among other things, as hiding places.
