Reino Rinne: writer, journalist, and conservationist

Reino Rinne, born in Suonnansaari in Kitkajärvi in ​​1913 and died in Kuusamo in 2002, is one of the most famous Kuusamo influencers. He was a self-taught strong wordsmith, a young man with a desire to learn who started his career in the lumberyards of Lapland. Inspired by his cousin, he started writing poems in the corner of a log cabin and developed into a distinctive writer over the years.

Through correspondence courses, Reino Rinne completed folk school and took part of the secondary school subjects. After his military service in Mikkeli, he returned home to Posio as a state forest ranger.
