Sänkisaari

Deceased have been buried in the village cemetery until recent years, and there are still some places left in the family graves. Sänkisaari was originally the burial ground of the mantal farms – that’s why most of the graves are reserved for family graves of old families. The Raatosaari were once burial islands of the Sámi and Orthodox people.
